Sillie Lillie

Lillie can spell her name! Sometimes she will forget that there are 2 'L's in the middle of her name, but she does a great job. Her favorite new thing to do is to put puzzles together. Including, 50 and 100 piece puzzles. Yesterday, she got a new "lentricular" puzzle (one where the image changes if you move your head) and she put it together by herself.

Bye Bye Nala

This picture is of Lillie (6months old) and Nala. On Friday, We lost Nala to the final stages of kidney failure. She was almost 16 years old. She hissed at the cable guy, our parents and friends, but she loved us. Lillie could pick her up under her front legs and carry her around like a rag doll.

25 Days till Christmas

We went and saw Santa last week. Lillie was excited to see him, but was very shy when she sat on his lap. Friday, we put up the Christmas tree and she was filled with "oh's and ah's" as we put each decoration on the tree. Today, we plan on putting out the countdown to Christmas calendar and hanging up the stockings.
Yesterday, Brian went to storytime at the Library with us. I know that Lillie was excited to have him there, because she picked out 3 books for him to read to her and none for me. She is really starting to become Daddy's Little Girl.

Hamburger Cookies

Today, Lillie helped me make Hamburger cookies and Pumpkin bread for the Church Christmas bazaar. She enjoyed making the baked goods in her new Dora the Exporer apron. Hamburger cookies are easy to make from store bought items. Recipe: 2 nilla wafters for the bun, 1 chocolate mint cookie for the hamburger center, red and yellow icing for the ketchup and mustard, coconut dyed green for the lettuce.
