Book and the Beach

Last week, I walked into the living room and found Lillie and Sophie looking at an "I Spy" book.  We have checked out 2 more from the Library since then.

Saturday, we went to the beach at Lake Michigan.  We had a lot of fun swimming in the lake and playing in the sand.  Lillie loved playing in the water and Sophie loved playing in the sand.  We hope to make another trip to the beach at Lake Michigan before the end of the summer.

Blueberries Picking

Yesterday, we picked blueberries for the first time.  It was hot, so we only picked for 45 minutes.  They were a lot easier to pick than strawberries. I picked 5 pounds.  Lillie picked 2 pounds.

Sophie picked 1/4 pound and

 probably ate about a 1/2 pound.

 She even tried to put some on a stick, like a marshmallow.

We watched the blueberry picking machine.

 We came home with lots of yummy blueberries to freeze, eat, make jam and muffins with.
