Sophie's 1st Corn on the Cob

Last week, Lillie requested Corn on the Cob.  I made 4 small pieces. I showed Sophie how to eat it and she ate her entire piece. Next, she saw that I hadn't eaten my piece yet and she pointed at it and said "more." I gave her my piece and put another piece in the pan for Brian, who hadn't come home for work yet.  When Brian got home, I told him to eat his corn quickly. He ate two bites of his corn and offered it to Sophie. She ate that piece too. The corn was from the freezer section, but I think that she will like the fresh corn this summer better.

Happy Valentine's Day

Friday, we were invited to Valentine's Day Party at a friend's house. We took heart shaped cheese and crackers to share at snack time.
And we took these homemade Valentines to give to our friends. I saw this idea on Pinterest.com. You can see how we made them at the following blog: http://happiestmomontheblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/make-your-own-valentines-melted-heart.html
Tomorrow, Lillie has her Valentine's Party at school and she is taking more of her homemade valentines. A few weeks ago, I went to a Mom's night out with our playgroup moms. We painted our own pottery. This is the finish candy dish that I made.
